I’m still on vacation, but I wanted to share with you a page from The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, a lovely children’s book my mother lent me while I was at home. It sums up precisely why I do what I do here:
Morris liked to share the books with others. Sometimes it was a favorite
that everyone loved, and other times he found a lonely little volume whose tale was seldom told.
Everyone’s story matters,” said Morris.
And all the books agreed.

Now, that does sound lovely. And the kids don’t even read the books on their iPhones. Some people would consider that a major plus.
I can’t get too down on my iphone, since my kindle app is very near and dear to my book-loving heart, but I agree that there is absolutely no replacement for a physical book, especially when it comes to beautiful, well-illustrated stories! I can’t imagine a life without them.
